MATT XAVIER
He began DJing in 1993 by uncovering a new sound emerging from Europe called "Goa Trance." In the years following, he organized the first psy-trance acid parties in New York and founded the groundbreaking company TSUNAMI PRODUCTIONS, considered the archetype of the East Coast psy-trance culture that exists today. In January 2000 Matt retired the trance format and began DJing and producing atmospheric Tech-House under the moniker "GRUVHAUS". His first production was signed by UK tech house master Terry Francis for Club Fabric #02. A handful of labels such as Fugu, Release Records, Polyester Music (UK), Annex Brooklyn and Chug Records have signed Matt's Gruvhaus productions & remixes. Matt has recently created RAILYARD RECORDINGS as a platform for quality tech-house music with an edge. He currently resides in Venice Beach and holds a residency for Moontribe $2 Tuesday's at "The Mor" on Main Street in Santa Monica. www.RailyardRecordings.com
